Quickie Divorce company - Refund denial

Hi
wondering who else here has had issues with getting a valid refund from Quickie Divorce. 3 months on and I’m still having to appeal. Noticed there are lots of complaints on their Google reviews too.
i believe they are breaking the law in their refusal of a refund - I paid for a service and was never able to access it , despite requesting help, and so had to use another company. I applied for a refund within 12 hours of paying and was told I was entitled to one - hence me joining another company. I’ve never been able to have access to my account and as such have never been able to access the service I paid for. I have called numerous times and no was able to resolve the issue and technical services never called back.
Where can I go from here? I’m a single
mum on UC and desperately need my refund.
Thanks in advance

How did you pay?
If by debit/credit card contact the bank and ask for a chargeback or S75 claim.
If Paypal, open a case with them

What do their T&Cs say about cancellations and refunds?
Contracts for services are different to contracts for products in that the cooling off period typically ends when the service commences (there are exceptions in certain regulated areas). Contracts for services should start until the cooling off period has ended however the law does allow them to when there is direct instruction from the client.
On the basis its a "quicky" service and in deed after only 12 hours you deemed they werent quick enough for you, it does sound as if you wanted the service to start immediately.3 -
There were technical issues immediately and the customer service I received was terrible . I paid in the evening and phoned the very next morning for support of which I was told they didn’t know how to help and I was entitled to refund. I didn’t trust them to effectively execute a legal procedure based on such poor customer service and so accepted their offer.I was not able to access my account and therefore have never been able to use the service or indeed start it.I contacted them a number of times for help and non was forth coming. I therefore had to instruct a different company.
i have been refused twice now.0 -
You need to answer the question on how did you pay, then we’ll be able to give more help.0

Note....You can apply for a divorce online via gov.uk
Since covid came along they've really simplified the process and made it very user friendly. Its £650 (ish) but if you're on benefits either you won't have to pay, or you'll get your fees refunded afterwards. If you need any help drafting your "reasons" then message me and I'll see if I can help you do your own application.
