A claim in Spain?

I've had a bit of a read through the forum, and (understandably) all the information seems to be based on UK processes. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences of claims in Spain.
We were delayed on a Spanish domestic flight with Canaryfly. We booked it directly with the airline to take a standalone weekend break during a longer stay in Spain. Not a connecting flight, no link to the UK other than us being British so assume we will need to use Spanish processes.
We didn't get much information on the day about the cause (if there was any it was in Spanish), but did get food vouchers. The plane was late arriving and our delay was a knock on from that. We were delayed for a handful of minutes over 3 hours (touched down almost dot on 3 hours late but then had to taxi and wait for the doors to open which took it over).

This is covered by Regulation (EC) No 261/2004
You claim for compensation should be made to the airline using this claim form : https://www.seguridadaerea.gob.es/sites/default/files/aesa_formulario_reclamacion_cia.pdfIf you don’t get a response from the airline within a month, ( or don’t agree with their decision) you can file the complaint with AESA.You will find useful information ( in English ) on AESA website about passenger rights and how to claim :https://www.seguridadaerea.gob.es/en/ambitos/derechos-de-los-pasajeros/procedimiento-para-reclamar/procedimiento-para-reclamar-ante-aesa-reg.261-2004
Whether you are entitled to compensation will depend on the cause of the delay and whether the airline is deemed responsible.0 -
Thanks! I'm comfortable with the EU law bits (I'm a lawyer), it's just working out the procedures!0
