  • Dear nykmedia, thank you for the number. I have done the number crunching bit and for us it will be a challenge, so I'll be checking out the site for any tips once we get started.
Have ordered 3 CD's from 'Passport to Freedom' promotion run by Knorr for caterers. Ypu earn points for sending in barcodes for some of their products. I will use these as birthday presents and put the equivalent (average cost) £30.00 into my 'free cash' account - aiming for £1,000 for a free 2008 Chrimbo.

    Debts: HUGE!!!

    Failed business venture: £18,200

I should actually be able to save loads if I do it correctly.I'm signing up for the grocery challenge of £150 food/lifestyle ect. After my utility bills ect I could be saving approx £30 per week if I do it right and stick to budget. This £30 would have to cover birthdays/clothes/holidays ect but if I'm careful I could have a bit saved toward debts.
I have just got a part time job of 3 hours per week which should bring me in £80 per month. It's only approx 6 months to cover maternity leave but I plan to save that and not count it in this challenge as it is an extra i wouldn't have had.
