Murder most foul is about to be comitted in this house.
DH has come home with a food smoker :confused::confused:

I hate the taste of smoked food.
It is now partially assembled in the middle of my kitchen table with DH looking proudly on.

    Hi Janey,

Please do send what ever the smoker produces to my way. One of my fondest childhood memories is when my uncle smoked fish in their garden us kids from the whole village gathered and we were sitting on the logs stuffing our faces with freshly smoked fish - LOVELY!

Why, oh why? It cost £60  I need a cold flannel on my forehead and a lie down.
We are living in a tip after the house fire. I have no vinyl on my kitchen floor. All DH's power tools and DIY toys are gradually taking over my house and now my kitchen table is host to a massive metal contraption that looks like a cross between Darth Vader and R2D2.

Well done, frugal husband.....much cheaper than a porsche for a mid-life crisis, lol!

Well MarkyMarkD it must be the mysterious workings of the male brain. He doesn't fish (or hunt). He stopped smoking years ago so maybe its like a comfort blanket.
Maybe he's watched too many episodes of River Cottage.

First of all, breath deeply and think hard before you answer the following question....
    d i d ... h e ... p a y ... a n y ... m o n e y ... f o r ... i t ? If it was a freebie worth £60 then maybe you could turn it into a productive little sideline for friends and family! Do you have a garden shed? :rotfl:

  • what a lovely name. My OH would have liked to call a girl, if we'd had one together, Grace in Irish, can't remember how to spell in Irish [seems like he plays Bingo with the letters and then just puts them there to confuse me! :D]

I'm failing miserably at the budget, but less badly than I would have been had I not been here - if you know what I mean!

Thanks to you all, you really are a great help

Have been playing catch-up again with the posts...I dont seem to get on here as much as I'd like!

I'm only on 26th Feb. What is all this about throwing in the towel??
Please, please, please don't! I'm behind but would be worst without this challenge. It's the only reason I was able to pay off my CC and the only reason I will be able to payoff the next one on the list, plus my loan.:o

Jacks, I always look forward to your post so please don't stop. who cares if we don't actually keep within our budget...it's the trying that is what counts, and us all sticking together. Now I'll no more of this nonsence about givin up, okay?!:rotfl:
Elatan NYK....Behave yourselves and put that thought out of your heads!

Going back to carry on catching up with your lovely posts. Keep up the good work!:T
