Now, I found a couple of dusty shoelaces that had fallen behind the shelf in the storage cupboard and I've cut a corner off the shower curtain. Anyone any ideas on how to assemble it into a thong?
:T :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: For all you 'slim chicks' out there, the above frugal 'recipe' could be glamourised by using some pretty sparkly material cut from any item of old clothing. Or a nice M&S (get that the right way round) gent's hanKy could make at least 4 sets! Cotton string's fairly cheap from the postie if you have no old laces. For you tough farming types - baler twine and sack cloth, anyone?I reserve the right not to spend.

I did actually once mend a swimming costume (my own) with staples, so they are an essential part of frugalism!
I guess we all need a staple diet too (groan).
No more jokes from me tonight - just looked at the bank statement. Aarrrggghhh!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

This thread has been entertaining me all day! :rotfl:
How's this for an embarrassing confession: I've just had a glance through my spending diary and I have actually spent £60.40 on knickers and bras since I started keeping it in October:eek: That's without counting tights, even... It's not *so* bad considering that most of it was in the sales, and I have, er, changed size a bit, so did *need* rather than *want* new stuff, and it *is* Valentine's day soon... but still... this means that I only have £9.60 left in my 'underwear budget' for the year  Hope I don't have to resort to the shoelace-and-hanky thing, ouch!
