Thanks, Fallen angel - I've had plenty of practice at budgeting both for myself and for friends. I just think that no matter how skint we ever feel, there's absolutely no point getting wound up or miserable about it because dealing with money is just something that everyone has to do. May as well make it fun at the same time
Besides, I'd rather face some debts than jump out a plane or yell bungeeeeeeeeee during a very fast decent from a very high place :rotfl:
i know what you meen about not getting wound up over money, it's like yeaterday when i found out i had gone in to my OD, at one time i would of got up set and then would of thought what the hell, but know i know that i will sort it out and get back in the black a.s.a.p.Back on MSE again! to take control of my finances and not let it control me. :T May grocery challenge £41.96/1400 -

Morning All,
Hope you all have a wonderfully smiley happy day!

Aww LOVE him! I think in that case he deserves some of your attention then honeybun.
To be fair to my hubby he is banging on about electricity suppliers and whether we should switch now or leave it a while - so it's relevant and stuff, but I'm just not getting anything done!
Is it wrong that I find moneysaving men sexy?

Sexy frugal men....yeah, I'll go for that!:D

Molly..I know what you mean about questioning every purchase. I ask, 'is it a need or a want'? Then by the time I've struggled with myself, I've gone off the idea and don't spend anyway!:rotfl: As for the blinds...do it yurself. You will feel so much better for it and just think of the achievement factor!
Skintwellie...My son is such a moaner about money, so don't think you're on your own.;) He thinks I'm a cashpoint! What I haven't told him is that I keep his child benefit in a seperate account and when he needs something or wants to go to the cinema etc. then I give it to him out of that and not out of my purse. If ever he knew....!:rotfl:
NYK...Do you ever come out of that kitchen?!!!:rotfl: Well done with the cigs. You've done so well and always an inspiration to us all.;)
Wornoutmum....Great thinking on the uniform front. I wished I'd have done that when my 4 where all at school. It's only one at 15 and he's in mens so get most from other outlets much cheaper than uniform shops. Although his sweatshirts and PE stuff has to come from there but he should be okay 'til next autumn:pLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Should be a NSD day. Will definitely need petrol tomorrow or Tuesday. The £15 I put in a couple of weeks ago isn't going to quite make the end of the month.
