I’m indebted to the admins here for the help and support given considering I’ve had to be vague about the case detail due to the defendants request not to show references that could point to them. They are elderly and infirm and just recovering from Covid. It pleased me that I was able to help an old friend avoid what could have been crippling costs.BTW, UKPC tried to claim the agents £200 fee on top of other costs. That raised the judges eyebrows!A big, big thank you to all concerned.5

A ery good court report, @berty50 and you sound like you were a great lay rep!
Always good when you get non-verbal cues from the Judge. I missed that over lockdown; I did some hearings over the phone, and one by video. Not the same experience for a Defendant at all.
Nicely done.Do come back for the DLUHC public consultation, which is promised to be coming soon.
You'd be a perfect person with the knowledge and robust words to respond about the level of parking charges and the extortion of adding false/unpaid 'DRA admin fees' on top of the £50 legal fees that the CPRs intend to cap to stop just this sort of enrichment of 'legal' firms making a fast buck.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done berty50
Maybe QDR should offer you a job as a consultant so you can advise on the crap cases UKPC take to court.
And maybe the BPA should terminate UKPC as they bring the scam industry into further disrepute

QDR LOST ..... if this was a DCBL case they would have discontinued
MEMO to QDR ... read this forum first before you jump into the fire

Excellent win, brilliant report. Nice one @berty50.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
