PCN. Which way forward after 6 years.

I was issued a Parking Charge notice September 2016 at Newcastle airport.
I am a taxi driver and I stopped at a barrier to the entrance of a hotel where my passenger was a patron. The hotel is within the airport grounds.
My passenger alighted when I stopped so I left the airport premises. Next thing I know I have a PCN.
I have not replied to this company yet and was wondering where I stood on the matter.

I appealed to the issuing company after which the PCN has been passed to numerous debt collection agencies over the years.
I sent each one my standard letter informing them that I had no intention of paying this unwarranted invoice and that I had returned to the site to collect photographic evidence of all signage and general layout of the area should I need to produce evidence in court.
I am now receiving multiple texts from a new company called Capquest notifying me that a reduced setlement is available. I have not replied to this company yet and was wondering where I stood on the matter.

Are you sure the texts are about this old PCN? The PCN you describe is statute barred (more than 6 years old) and we doubt it is being pursued now...unless this is something new.
I've never heard of Capquest. Could just be one of those speculative 'you've got a PCN' scam texts. Does it even identify the parking firm?
Which PPC was your old PCN from?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

From their website...

[click on the image - it's a link]
See those words - "We're a debt collection agency"?
The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarize that post - ignore them.

I would block the number, if they want to contact you they will write with more information these parasites will send more texts with no info just to get you to engage with them. But as stated this firm don't do parking charge collections and seem slightly more professional (if that's possible) than the the usual debt crawlers.Capquest are a credit solutions provider that work on behalf of credit providers such as mortgage and loan firms, high street banks and service providers. These include utility companies and mobile phone networks. Their values are straightforward – they say they are a credit solutions business that believes in doing the right right. They say they help people create a real and attainable plan to get back on a healthy financial footing.
