I have to say that CD-WOW is great ;D They deliver to me in about 3 days which I am very surprised at because they send it from a foreign country. I could not beleave how cheap CD-WOW was when i first visited it some years ago..... I was cautious about buying from them as I could not understand how someone could sell CDs this cheap without a catch. But they proved me wrong and this is where I buy my music from all the time. LONG LIVE CD-WOW ;D

Got to agree with William on CD wow, have been using them for years, always deliver music from HK within 4 days and never been charged customs, probably coz they ship every thing as single items (also I guess customs are too busy looking for the real big scams to worry about £30 worth of CD's). Always thought £8.99 + free del was cheap and was well happy then started reading threads on here and how to get money off vouchers etc... so even better now but I did feel guilty getting the money off when the price is so good to begin with (don't worry though the guilt passed really quickly :-)), I always use the hong kong site these days as my cc gives me a 12.81 exchange rate meaning I get £8.99 CD's for around £7.40 give or take a few pence.

Pretty much agree with all the positive comments from above. CD -Wow definately undercuts just about any other web site so haven't used Play much recently.
SplashDVD just take too long. Amazon can be competetive & are by far the quickest to be delivered.

Would just like to add my positive endorsement of the service from CD-WOW.

I just bought a DVD from them which only cost me £2.49 using discount links and TSB voucher codes. However, there was a problem with the disc as it abruptly stopped and returned to the menu after 45 mins.

I emailed CD-WOW who replied by apologising for the faulty disc and stating they would send a replacement straight away. To my surprise, the also said they would send a freepost envelope for the return of the damaged product.

I returned my faulty disc in the freepost envelope saving a quid in the process. This morning I received a replacement DVD and an courtesy email saying they had received my return.

Add to that they always email you when your goods are dispatched and when they are temporarily out of stock.
Superb five star customer service.

I've also heard that one of the reasons that cd-wow post each item individually is that they will then fit through your letterbox - better than arriving home from work to find a card which requires you to collect your larger parcel from a post office/mail depot etc.

I have always used Play.com for PS2 games. Delivery very quick.. Excellent Customer service. Refund no quibble.

Last xmas, 4 games where lost in the post.. Rang them up and they resent them straight away, no problem..

I have ordered from the following people and have NEVER had anything BUT GOOD results:

Amazon.com due to the extremely large selection of DVDs. Once a package never arrived, and they sent the replacement via UPS at no cost to me.

Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de msotly for local orders (UK when I lived there, and now the German one) Never had anything missing so I cant complain. Although certain book titles are chepaer to order from the UK than the english menu on the German site.

Play.com great for avoiding customs on NTSC DVDs. Also, I order all my UK titles from them as they do not charge postage in the EU. There refund policy is also "no questions asked" superb. I also got immediate replacement shipping on an item that didnt arrive.

CDwow just started using them, and get all my stuff within 3-4 days. One title was shipped from Singapore (NTSC DVD)

Easydvd.com.au these guys are DAMN fast. I get all my Aussie stuff from them as they are cheap, fast and somehow I never get hit for customs no matter what I order.

Mind you. In Germany the Customs agents are finncky little !!!!!!, so anything from overseas always takes 7-10 days (except easydvd?!?) mainly because it gets held up in Frankfurt.

Failing any patience for waiting, I also have the luxury of a huge store 10 minutes away!! ;D

I can concur with the good experiences with CDWow. I ordered a double CD once but only one disc turned up - they sent a replacement within a couple days. There is now a site that beats CDwow but can;t remember the address - check it out on http://www.shopwithrag.tk

Judi - your £32.99 will almost certainly come in at exactly that.

The customs thing is akin to going through customs in a car - some people get their cars pulled over and searched, most don't. (And I imagine the frequency is much less on parcels as well!)

My husband has a play.com habit (but I still love him) and likes boxsets so we hold our breath quite often hoping we aren't due a customs charge. But they seem to be a real rarity - so I regard it as just a 'possible'.

I have use CDWOW for a couple of years now and generally they are the best. Since finding this site I have had a bit of a splurge because of the reduced price links. So far most deliveries have come in three days.
