As far as I know its just a house that has been left to one person
You are very unlikely to know. Nor is the estate agent. Value of house? Left to who (makes a difference to Inheritance Tax). Other assets eg savings, investments, jewellery, car/boat, ....? If over the IHT threshold then HMRC must be dealt with prior to the Probate Office. Hence people saying Probate can take up to a year. And if anyone challenges the will......

    From my solicitor

I’ve just telephoned the solicitor. He says he will have the Probate application down to court tomorrow and provided everything is in order then we should hopefully receive the Grant in about 7-10 days. They were waiting on some information for their application but he said he was finalising everything today.

There is your answer then. You don't need us guessing, your solicitor has given you a concrete time frame so in 7-10 days you will have grant of probate.

Probate varies based on how many assets there are, value of those assets, what the assets are, how many beneficiaries etc but if its literally just a house left to a single person via a valid will then it will be straight forward.
