Grant of probate time frame?

I have been told by my solicitor the seller is waiting on grant of probate but that its straight forward and will take 4-6 weeks. The estate agents said it will be around 6 weeks. But all the info online I am reading is stating 6 to 12 months. I am in northern ireland

People use ‘time to get probate’ in a couple of different ways, which causes confusion. 6-12 months is the estimate of time it takes from when someone dies/ administration of the Estate starts. 4-6 weeks is the estimate from when the application is made to the Probate Office. How long it actually takes can vary though - be prepared for it to take longer.2

I just phoned the probate office in belfast and they said because I am not the applicant they can't talk about the specific case but that they generally take 7 to 10 working days.1

It might take the Executors weeks or moths to submit....
And once submitted, there might be a problem....1 -

Depends how probate is applied for.
If its straightforward and the application is done fully online it can be very quick.0 -
They told me it will be complete in 7 to 10 days and with the sellers solicitor0

As far as I know its just a house that has been left to one person0
