Morning from a glorious East Kent coast. Washing on the line and I’m going to do some gardening and make the most of the weather before meeting a friend for coffee later.
Trying to do some forward planning for shopping for when we have a houseful just after Christmas to spread the load a bit
Hope you all have a good dayCarolbee9 -
Morning all, not raining! but forecast later :)Nothing much planned today, just picking up DGS later, he's at Craft club after school and doesn't come out until 4.45, then we'll take him over to DS2s, hope the traffic isn't too bad- a couple of times recently we've been stuck in stationary traffic for ages. Easy tea anyway. Last night we had breaded fish, a 2 pack that came with yesterdays delivery, and I knew I had a single one in the freezer too,the men had chips and mushy peas,I had green veg. The freezers are full now as I got stuffing balls, pigs in blankets etc ready for Xmas. Just hope the turkey arrives with the avian flu wreaking devastation across the countryI must try and finish making my cards today.Hope the poorly get better quick and you have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
I was MIA yesterday, that's the joy of night work. It's a lovely day by the sea after a rough day yesterday. We had sausages, beans and baked potatoes yesterday, it was all I could be bothered to do. I have 2 loads of washing on the line. Beef stew is in the slocooker. I fancy dumplings with it and cabbage.
I need to pop to the shops in a bit. Hopefully I'll get time to do a bit of sewing later.
Have a good day all 😊11 -
Morning..Good day yesterday, there and back without incident, got some clothes [oh well, I will wear them] and some presents from Trago, my god that shop is huuuge. We didn't do half of it and I discovered they sell fabric. In the times I've been before I've never ventured right to the back so I've never seen it before! One thing they don't sell though...magazine racks...going to have to hit the cs's for that I think.. Weather doesn't look very clever and next doors having the extension on the extension done so that's a bit noisy. Today is all about tidying and getting one sewing project on the go, probably the making a dress into a skirt one. I might start another messy patchwork throw to start using the scraps up. It's very therapeutic, you don't think about it too much and they don't take long. I love making huge bias binding too...Gers, only 14? I'm disappointed, I'd have thought you'd go for the record
Ruby, how awful for him to be taken advaatage of like that and by his mother too! Rosy, I have filled mine up too, not with Christmas stuff though, just with random stuff...
Have a good day if you can folks, if you can't, I send you squishy warm scarves....

Thought I would pop in, usually just lurking 😉 Gers I am with you, seems to be more cooking than baking this year on GBBO especially when compared to Season 6 (which I binge watched over 2 weekends) I always look forward to Bread Week but this year there was not a lot of bread - very sad.
Back to lurkdom after wishing everyone a good day.
