Morrisons More Card - is it worth it?
Comments
-
I stopped shopping at Tesco because it was impossible to buy anything at a reasonable price without having a club card. Morrisons now appears to have gone down the same route. Many of the offers look the same as before they introduced the scheme, so we aren’t really getting anything. These apps cause delays at the checkout and we are coming up to a busy period of the year. You’ll gather I’m not a fan…2

I only used to shop there occasionally & even with the old card got a £5 now and then. Don't darken their door anymore.......
I always use that phrase when actually the thingie / product is worse than the original!0 -
I only spend a nominal amount at Morrisons per week so have the grand total of zero points but some of the items I buy are cheaper with a card so every little helps0

I always use that phrase when actually the thingie / product is worse than the original!Yeah sadly recipe changes are usually an increase of stuff like that to bring down production costs.I also find most products that are sweet type products, like cheesecake stuff as an example tend to over do the sweet part, I think they catering for those who want a really powerful taste.0 -
From today, you get a whopping 0.5p for each product you buy:

Weirdly, it is exactly as stated - 5 points for each product purchased, not 5 points per pound spent.2

(Before they scrapped the whole thing, went cardless, and then brought it back after a few years in the wilderness)5 points for every pound seems familiar from that.Maybe they've listened to people saying the new system is a bit rubbish ...

I'm not complaining - it's way better than having points accumulate a bit for a while and then M changing the rules and stopping again (which is what just happened with the Cafe points). Hopefully this is a long-term thing and not just for the Christmas supermarket clash.
I was just drawing attention to the fairly unique approach so people don't wonder why their £100 shopping basket only gets them, say, 150 points.3 -
This combined with the regular offers, will probably encourage me to make a few more trips over the next little while. Annoyingly I don't have a Morrisons particularly close to home, but there are a couple we can relatively easily visit with a bit of planning.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
