Building society asking for signature?

I opened an ISA with Coventry Building Society to take advantage of their interest rates, I have been asked to send in my signature - apparently this will make future transactions easier as they need less steps to verify my identity.

I was wondering if this is safe (especially sending the information back in a pre-paid envelope with no tracking) and how difficult it’ll make things if I don’t do it? Can’t bring it into a branch as they are all far from me.

Just a bit paranoid, especially everything is digital now! 😄

How many times in the past you have posted a form with your written signature on and not had a second thought about it?

I had this with Premium bonds when I changed address - turns out they had never had my signature on record, no because I was 10 months old when the account was opened. they send me a form, I signed it and a friend witnessed it to say it was my signature - no problem
