Yeah I wish I’d of realised then but hopefully they’ll honour it as can’t see them wanting to refund the ERC.cook0891 said:
Ah, suspect that is what it is then mate. We were asked if want to reduce the term but they did warn if did would be a longer process and at current time with everything going on we stuck with same term. So a very simple straight forward process.Lewis7498 said:
Ah thank you. I think it’s because I’m reducing the term as well it’s taking longer.cook0891 said:
Hope you get sorted. We did ours on the Sat and got it all confirmed the Weds. Good luck.Lewis7498 said:Just been told by Halifax that the rate is only secured for that day (despite their mortgage advisor telling me it’s definitely secure if we spoke by 31st October before the new month starts!!)
Still waiting on declaration paperwork so they best not change it! This all no good for my nerves! 😫
Her words:
Speaking Monday does give us time to get the rate secured but what it might mean is the start date for the rate would be delayed until the 1st of December at the earliest, so you would continue on your current rate until the new rate starts.
But am so worried I won’t get that rate now as I’m waiting on a signed declaration to be sent out to sign and send back. Paid the ERC though so they best do!Hopefully you all sorted soon.
I’ll keep you posted mate!1 -
Ah thank you mate. Fingers crossed otherwise it’ll be quite bad of them. It’s 3.69% and currently on 2.09% until what would of been April but think it’s best to lock this in now (if they still allow it!)Nailer99 said:Hope Lewis gets his 3% fix confirmed, but the way. That’s an excellent low rate. 🤞0 -
I'm with Halifax and can categorically say you've made right choice. I dithered and the 3 year fix is now 4.77% so I'm raging with everyone....0

No way how annoying. Was that rate with Halifax over the phone as an existing customer? As I know some offers are only for sub £150K0

Oh man what a nightmare, when did the rate change?AdmanPea said:I'm with Halifax and can categorically say you've made right choice. Rates are constantly changing even before BOE announcement is made.hildosaver said:

It would be interesting to know when this rate changed for me personally as I paid £1k to break from my current rate a couple of weeks ago to change to the 3.69% 3 year deal Halifax were offering at that time because I was worried it might not be available on 1st November. Basically looking to know if I made the right decision or if I had just waited I may have got it anyway. I've been worried I'd thrown a grand away for nothing.london21 said:

A broker might know the dates it changed but you likely made the right decision.hildosaver said:

Ah we got the same rate then (well it’s still subject to mine going through and will be livid if they change it now after also paying £1K!) Hopefully they won’t change it as should be finalised by next week 🤞🏻hildosaver said:
