I guess thats the trouble with us Brits. We dislike successful people.

In America this guy would be a hero!
It is: "I am right, you are wrong, I am better than you .... [harry enfield waving cash] LOADSAMONEY" rude people.

    Nobody begrudges people success.
But the world hates a rude bugg4h.

Nice is a lovely place and as you say, so easy to get to. I was thinking of an apartment in the south of france but leaning more towards the languedoc area as the prices are cheaper but would consider Nice again now you've mentioned it.
Hi Simply. Im also looking to invest abroad, but am looking to purchase off plan simply to save money on the purchase price. There are builders out there that if you can provide a larger deposit up front will discount the property price quite a lot. The problem with this scenario is that you may have to wait a year/2 years for the property to be built. I spoke to the people who own this web site www.propertyinturkey.com and they explained the options available to me. Please note you will obviously need to shop around and the first consideration should be "where do you actually want to stay" in the winter months. Also check other turkey property web sites to compare costs for properties.
