Buying abroad, advice welcome

Has anyone recently bought a property abroad? I am considering purchasing in either Egypt, Bulgaria or Turkey and would welcome any advice from others on what to look for, the right questions to ask or what to avoid.

Unfortunately, the same global economic forces are at work accross much of Europe (though not all), with many areas in the midst of a slowdown.

Areas such as Bulgaria and Spain are probably best avoided altogether in terms of investment potential.

Crap? Oh, that must be why I had only £1.2m gross turnover last year. I own in France, Portugal, UK and Germany BTW.

Just sold and made a decent profit.

    Nice one.

You've made your money and you've moved on.

That doesn't mean the OP can do the same now.

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing
