People are extremely unlikely to be stuck with any DD amount though as Octopus allow the customer a fair amount of control anyway.3 -
Octopus definitely allows variable DD. I switched to them in April and was automatically put on it.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Yes. I switched an account over to it last month and had zero charged for September thanks to the credit on the account.

I’m with Bulb. I have never paid by direct debit and I won’t unless I’m forced to! Instead I pay each month’s bill using my bank card.
I hope with Octopus it remains possible not to need a direct debit!
