I had a knock on the door yesterday and all the caller had to offer in terms of ID was a statement of intent from the local council.  Claimed to be working on their behalf.  I sent them away suggesting the revisit with proper ID.  They returned today with an intuECO id card and gave me the same leaflet that is posted above.  

I pushed them on "Trustmark" - they told me that the Trustmark web site list of installers is not accutate and told me the install would be by Baxter Kelly.  Some branches of Baxter Kelly appear to be registered but not local ones. 

Next we moved on to what they were proposing, some discussion about what type of boiler I had and they said they would replace it with a combi boiler.  I expressed concerns about the pipework that was burried into the floor and the risk if leaks due to age and higher pressures gnerated by a combi boiler.  I was then told if the pipes werent suitable they would be replaced !!!

I told them I didnt want a combi boiler and they said that was all that was on offer.

all in all a somewhat worrying experience, not for me personally but for others who may get lured into what felt to me like a low quality service.

I had a new boiler through this scheme in March this year. Intueco are not working for the council but they go around and find people who might benefit but are in what the council calls 'Grey area' which is those who don't get benefits but cannot afford a new boiler.  I had a chap bang on the door and after he'd gone I checked with my council (Derbyshire).  The company is legitimate.
They should book for their person to visit to check your credentials, earnings (savings don't count) and proof you own the property and live there. If you rent then your landlord can also make use of the scheme. They then send a surveyor around who goes through all of the 'green' upgrades that your property might need, such as loft insulation, cavity, new radiators etc. They do this cos the council need to make sure that by doing this they are raising the efficiency of your EPC grade.
You then have a bit of a wait about 10 days while the council decide if you qualify, then the installer will contact you with a date to do the installation. All in all, I had a new boiler, a top up loft insulation and a new radiator.  At the moment solar panels and solid wall insulation are not included but could be later. Not everything is done by the same installer so you may get more than one call and date.
Qualification is income of under 31k, or an NHS medical referral, your boiler does not need to be broken, but installed before 2005 or indeed not working.
The only thing I had an issue with was the installer Baxter Kelly, but there are a couple of installer options so you can ask for someone different. I found one of their installers bolshie, loud and somewhat intimidating. I'm a lone female so had to really dig deep, I did actually call their office, then I got a male friend to come round and the guy calmed down. The 2nd installer seemed to be a very nice bloke who was not at all impressed with his colleagues attitude. If you think you qualify and are in need, I would contact the council to check that they are aware the company is working legitimately and then take up the opportunity before winter. All in all I had approx 7k of work done.

2 man knocked on my door, took photos of my parents bank statement, council tax bill and my house then gave me a leaflet. I got send an email saying they are processing the application.There are 2 websites from the same company when I search Google.

Is this site a scam? The company number is not registered.

I got a knock on the Door by one of their surveyors late July 2023.He had recognised the Flue to my Chb was over 15years old!
I am a retired Gas Heating engineer(Sheffield).I listened to the guy, he new his stuff, then told him my career.
Genuine person, left me with info so i could check everything out.Turns out that the local contractors that they use,owners were guys I had as an apprentice and also worked for me as an engineer in years gone buy.
6 Week's later everything is completed.
New Combi fitted, with occupancy sensor activated Trv Rad valves.Wifi  Programmer/Room Stat.Electric Extractor fans to Bathroom and kitchen included wiring.Trickle vents for windows and loft insulation topped up all to create an improved EPC certification. 
Added benefit, it has turned my existing mixer shower into a brilliant "Power Shower", plus they moved the boiler into the loft space, creating 2 extra storage cupboards upstairs. 
Total cost to me £0.00 (ZERO). 
I am not on any Gov benefits, but due to redundancy  me and my wife's gross income is less than £3100 at the moment.

Don't hang about this is a legitimate scheme (Ecophlex4) funded by the Energy  companies but when the pot is empty it is gone.

All the works were completed 3 days over a 2 week period.
The engineers were efficient, understanding and considering the work that was required, very little mess was left.Must have cost over £4000 for all the equipment and labour.
Totally satisfied customer!!!👍👍

I was very much in the “to good to be true” camp when Ben the Rep knocked on my door in November.He explained at length but in easy to understand terms about the scheme and I qualified due to me taking immunosuppression medication.All I can say is i couldn’t have been more wrong!.Everything I was promised was delivered and more!.I’ve had full Loft insulation,Extractor fans fitted and wired in Kitchen&Bathroom.(he even noticed I had the wrong light fitting in bathroom and changed it for free!).Trickle Vents on all windows,
Old Economy 7 heating system ripped out and a new Combi boiler and full central heating system put in.All work done in 4 working days and very little mess or redecoration needed!.I honestly couldn’t be happier with my decision.So the scheme is 100% legit and I found this company very professional.

Thought I had posted a pithy comment that the last review sounded fishy (and even reported it). Has an odour about it in my opinion, and not necessarily pork (more rat to my mind).
