DRP Letters but 0 letters for original fine

Hi, I have a frustrating situation where I have just received two letters from DRP claiming that I owe them £170 x2 for 2 different days that I stayed in a car park without a permit. This was back at the end of August. I never received any previous letters from the creditor (UK car park management ltd)
The car park was for an a AirBnB stay and the host never stated that I need to display a permit in either the listing or the "check in details" he sent me on the day. I even sent him a photo of the car park when I arrived with "where do I park?" And he just replied with "any bay".
When I received these letters today I have reached out to the host asking for his advice and he doesn't believe me that I never received the original fine, and if I did receive it then he could have sorted it out. He has offered to pay me £60 for one of the fines. He also told me there was a permit inside the apartment and I should have displayed this... There was no permit inside the apartment.
I'm not sure where I stand currently and who to contact on what to do next... Do I try the car park company or raise a complaint with AirBnB? I'm aware there were probably signs at the car park but without the host telling me I need a permit, we didn't really worry about it.
Thank you for any help.

So you parked where 'there were probably signs' but decided not to investigate at the time?
I know it's easy to say with hindsight, but whenever parking a vehicle, on road or off road, it really does make sense to look for signs.
Ask yourself why you have received nothing before these DRP letters.
Is it because the Registered Keeper's address on the vehicle's Registration Document (V5c) hasn't been kept up to date?
Now read the fourth post of the NEWBIES thread to understand how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.1 -
Check your V5C. Old address on it?
That's what causes people not to get PCNs (because the old address is handed out by the DVLA) then the victim gets traced later on by the likes of DRP.
Take him up on the £60 offer but don't actually pay UKCPM.
Keep those emails safe because you will need them as evidence to win in court, which is the only dispute resolution open to you (easy enough when you know how...and we will tell you how to win).
Obviously ignore DRP (as per the advice in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread) UNLESS I am right that your logbook address is wrong.
If that's the case, not only must you put it right urgently with the DVLA online, but you MUST also email the DPOs at DRP and UKCPM (both) to tell them to 'erase the data' of your old address and to note your correct address for service of letters.
NEVER leave a PPC with two addresses to choose from in their database. You can bet if UKCPM get a solicitor 'roboclaim aggressor' to take the matter to a court claim, that they would choose the old DVLA address for the claim and hope to get a default CCJ behind your back.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ignore anything you get from DRP. See the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, fourth post, to learn why.On behalf of which parking firm are DRP shouting? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I haven't updated my V5C so that's on me. I updated my driving license address when we moved but didn't do this... So i'm guessing the PCN's went to my old address.I was hoping I could reach out to UKCPM via email stating that there is an owner of a permit who is willing to prove that they own it, and could I just pay the fee directly to UKCPM? Or am I being naieve here and i've lost that option now?I'll update my address ASAP for my V5C and contact both DRP & UKCPM now.

Sorry no chance reaching out to ex-clamper aggressors, UKCPM. and do NOT contact DRPlus, except to email both their DPO email addresses found on their data privacy webpages, to tell them to 'erase' (use that word) the old address data.
That's it.
EXCEPT PLAN A, of course ... but we really need you to read the NEWBIES thread because 'PLAN A' and 'DPO' are all explained there already!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was hoping I could reach out to UKCPMReach out? They aren't Marks and Spencer or John Lewis. You are simply money fodder to them, they don't give a sheet about anyone proving they had a permit.
UKCPM want their pound (and a half) of flesh and generally sue through the courts to get it. That's not to say you run away and pay them. With the forum's help motorists have succeeded against UKCPM in court. Nothing to fear. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. You are failing to grasp the business model of private parking companies:They offer their services free of charge to land owners for the right to issue as many PCN's as they possibly can to make as much money as they possibly can, in other words they want as many victims to break their made up rules as possible, your appeal will be denied what ever you put.3

What's all this "reaching out" nonsense? Do people stand outside the offices of the PPC with their arms outstretched? If posters mean "contact the PPC by e-mail/letter", why not say so?2
