Chase current account.

Chase current account is not very good, not a proper current account.
I tried to pay my Halifax credit card from Chase current account, I can’t.
Very disappointing , I would not have it as an only current account ever ,
of course I can log in to Halifax credit card account and pay it but I wanted to pay it from the Chase account.

Chase is a proper current account and you can pay your Halifax credit card from it. You need the sort code and account number from the back of your Halifax statement and set up a payee on Chase with those details.

Remember to quote your Halifax credit card number as the reference.

According to the Halifax website, the sort code and account number to use for payments to Halifax credit cards are 77-29-00 and 00000000, and the Reference must be your card number.

There are also other ways to pay your Halifax card from your Chase account - see the Halifax website.

    Hi,
how do you pay the Halifax card from the Chase current account?
I tried putting in the sort code but it does not accept the long credit card number it’s too long!
Sure I can log in to Halifax card account but I want to pay in the Chase app from Chase current account but I can’t.
I tried to put new payee , it says pay family, move money, paying for item, make investment ,pay invoice, something else, can’t see where I pay it.
    Help appreciated, thanks.

The picture uploaded by Daliah shows you how to do it. The account number and sort code for Halifax is displayed on there, and you need to put your Halifax credit card number as a reference. You get to this stage of adding a reference (your card number in this case) on the next screen when you state how much you want to transfer.

You can set up the new payee as "Moving my money" or "Something else" because I don't think it makes a difference.

Actually, the Halifax recommendation is a bit daft. You clearly wouldn't use their app to make a payment from your non-Halifax account. But apart from that, you can use the sort code, account number and your card number to make payments to you Halifax CC account from your non-Halifax current account's app or online banking.

Perhaps one of the Halifax bods hanging out here can flag this error to whoever does their web pages. All they need to do is add a y in the right place.

It is a proper current account, unfortunately you didn't know the correct account number to use on the payment

Surely the account number is that eight digit 000 and reference is your Halifax credit card number as someone has already said?

Actually you can, it uses the same technique as open banking, just for a one time payment. I doubt it works with chase though.
