Has she ever been in hospital under S3 of the mental health act?
I remember her being ‘sectioned’ more than once as a teenager sadly, for her own safety. Not sure of the category or type that it fell under though I’m afraid.

not sure we would get anything for the money but I’ll do some more searching. She needs to feel safe and be comfortable and a cheaper place might be in a less desirable location, it’s just a little poor town but has better and worse areas like all places. Thank you
I can see from some of the suggestions that there are a few routes you could consider to obtain more support - but just a thought in reference the property - you mention she's 2 hours from you in one direction, and that as she would get closer the prices would be higher - what about in the opposite direction? Would an hour the other way lead you to cheaper properties?

It's worth considering all options - does she need a huge amount of space? Would a studio flat be too small? If everything was together in one space - would that make things more manageable for her? Or does she have half a house worth of possessions?

Another option although I don't know much about them, and others might be able to offer more insight - and believe that selling them on does come at a price, and there are fees to consider - but a possibility of a mobile home type property - this one being a typical example:

I just wondered if her support fell under 117 aftercare which would give annual reviews, but if it was so long ago then possibly not.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

No, tbh her care over the recent times has been mainly non existent. She isn’t interested and I guess they have priorities where their help is requested and called upon. She has regularly Drs trips for medication reviews etc but care visits are rare. Parents did everything when they were here and nothing has been reinstated. It’s a tough situation through nobody’s fault

Thank you. We live where we do for my partners ailing family and our work so moving is not an option we want to consider, again we would if no choices but it’s a kind of last resort. She could cope in a smaller home, her only real possessions that she cares about are minimal but I want her to be comfortable and safe. I know I need to have this conversation with her but it’s so difficult- she will get very upset and think she is a burden and I don’t want to cause a downward spiral so looking for sensible scenarios before broaching anything. The money invested in the home she has now means very little to me as it is paid and gone if that makes sense but the continual cost is becoming increasingly unmanageable.
