Doesn't appear to be a lot of choice for Pages what it can save - it can do RTF, which is the whole point of using RTFs as it's OS independent, even though it was ironically an MS idea

You lose some advanced layout  options (like tables and what not), but you'll get the text and what was bold, italic and what not.

The current version of Pages can export to:
    PDF
    Word
    EPub
    Plain Text
    RTF
    pre 2009 Pages

The OP says they are a MS user so seems that Word would seem the most logical export rather than RTF if they use that methodology

Thanks all - I don't have a mac here so can't change how the document is saved on a mac.  (unless I can find someone who has a mac which is unlikely.)  so I'm back to waiting for Bros to do a cut and paste into an email for me.

If there's nothing confidential in the document then you could use an online converter. Can't vouch for them but googling the terms online convert apple pages to word brought a whole load of options.

  • If you have access to on iPad/phone you can but does https://softwarekeep.com/help-center/open-pages-format-file-in-windows-and-microsoft-word solution#2 work??
