Hi could anybody help with the following; I took out a SIM only contract for 3 years with Onecom which is part of Vodafone. Sounded amazing until they started charging me £49 from the 17th month when this was never agreed it was supposed to be 2 years of the deal and then to review for another tariff. I spoke to a onecom sales person and they say that they can only reduce it by £5 (£45) I never got anything in writing stating that the contract was going to go up from the 17th month and I would never of agreed to this. They saying I did and I said please send me the thread and they said they don't have anything as it was so long ago.
If Vodaphone is reading this please stop using this company as its a terrible affliation and ripping people off.

Other threads on this forum have similar experiences to your own, search to see them. It seems that since you have signed a business-to-business contract (rather than a personal one) then the usual consumer protections don't apply.
Technically Onecom is not "part of Vodaphone" but is a "Strategic Partner" (whatever that means).

Soon as you open your mouth to agree something you're committed (for the business). If you are speaking on behalf of a limited business and entering a contract for and on behalf of that business, you're supposed to have done your due diligence before committing.Consumer protections for contracts only apply to domestic and private individuals. Not business.1
