I managed to see it in my current accounts payees straight after opening. Note it's right at the top, in Your Accounts.

but, results may vary. a long time ago for one of these Lloyds monthly savers I had to enter the other account as a new external payee, but also may appear in it after a day has passed, if not the logout and login.

Just transfer the money from your Club Lloyds account, whilst they recommend a standing order it's not required.
Well, you say that, I set one up today and attempted to make a quick transfer from my Lloyds current account and the regular saver was not listed so I have had to setup a standing order. This has happened with both my basic regular saver and my club Lloyds regular saver.
Log out and it will be there when you log back in.
Sorry did not make that clear, I can see the account but if I attempt to do a quick transfer of cash from my current account to the regular saver it is not listed in the drop-down box of accounts so that prevents me moving cash from one to the other. Hope that makes sense.

Yes, so don't use quick transfer. Instead, click on payments and transfers for your current account. I think your new account will be listed here as a possible recipient that you can select. That's the way it is for me, anyway.

For this saving account, you need to add money to the account before the 25th of each month. I get paid on the 25th so it would be too late.
I've set up a standing order to pay £400 for the 1st of every month from November but as its not the 25th October I can add money this month, can I manually add money in or does it need to be added via standing order?

In recent years, I've either been paid on the 25th (old job) or on the last working day of the month (current job)

    My technique has always been:

Open the account around the 20th-25th of the month, then make that month's payment
Pay money in by any method (standing order or bank transfer) from any account you like (as in "not necessarily Lloyds") on the first of the month.
You can make 13 payments into the account without issue.

    The routine for me was:
Open an account on the 25th October and make a bill payment into it.
Setup a standing order for the 1st of the month starting 1st November, ending on 1st October next year
On the anniversary date check for interest payment and move money elsewhere.

Worked for every regular saver I've had, with the only exceptions:

Some only permit 12 payments (in which case the last payment in to the account is the month before the anniversary).
One regular saver only permitted payments in on the anniversary date (Ford bank) that was 12 payments on the 25th.

Opening the account on the 25th+paying in on the 1st, and making 13 payments each maximises the interest that can be earned.

All three of mine were available as a transfer destination in the apps, once I logged out and in.

Both Lloyd's and Club Lloyd's Monthly Savers, and then the BoS Monthly Saver, in the BoS app, using my Halifax bank details.

Strange it not worked for you, trickydicky14.

Have you tried standard internal transfer, as suggested by another poster yet?

    Thanks that works 100%
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

For reference, I think your quick transfer option will work tomorrow.

Opened Club monthly saver via app just now. Closed app and reopened app and the new account was available to transfer payment from current account.

I transferred £400. There was an option to setup standing order on that screen. Ignored it for now. Can I setup a standing order later (tomorrow or day after) to pay out £400 on 1st of each month for 12 times?

you can now, if the account is showing as a payment option, or from an external account

I also wanted to ask about when is best to deposit in to the club saver.
I opened an account yesterday and deposited £400. I want to set up a standing order but unsure if I have to set it up to come out a month after my first deposit or can it be set up to come out anytime before the 25th every month e.g 24th or maybe even earlier. Just wanted to know what is best. Thx

  • Lloyd's confirmed to me that it is calendar month, so 1st of the month is fine for second, and subsequent, deposits 👍
