Club Lloyds Monthly Saver question

For this saving account, you need to add money to the account before the 25th of each month. I get paid on the 25th so it would be too late.
I've set up a standing order to pay £400 for the 1st of every month from November but as its not the 25th October I can add money this month, can I manually add money in or does it need to be added via standing order?

You can add the first payment now, and these monthly savers don’t care whether they were standing order payments or faster payments.1

When I created the account it said you had to pay £25 - £400 by standing order. They even sent me an email saying add money now, click here to set up a standing order, so they are making it seem like that's the only way to pay inAndyTh_2 said:You can add the first payment now, and these monthly savers don’t care whether they were standing order payments or faster payments. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2022 - £670.45 /£667.95

Just transfer the money from your Club Lloyds account, whilst they recommend a standing order it's not required.

It's not. What @AndyTh_2 said works perfectly, and the money (FP or SO) can come from any current account, doesn't have to be Lloyds.MissRP95 said:

I had no problem instantly depositing £400 from an external current account directly to my new CLMS. Then set up 12 SO`s for £400 a month (starting 1/11/22 ending 1/10/23) from same external current account. T&C`s don`t stipulate a maximum 12 month deposit so you can make 13 payments equal to £5200. However it`s anyone`s guess whether 5.25% will be competitive next year.Same process for the Lloyds Monthly Saver except its £250 a month and you can make 13 monthly payments.1

Well, you say that, I set one up today and attempted to make a quick transfer from my Lloyds current account and the regular saver was not listed so I have had to setup a standing order. This has happened with both my basic regular saver and my club Lloyds regular saver.kaMelo said:Just transfer the money from your Club Lloyds account, whilst they recommend a standing order it's not required.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

You probably have to log out and in again before you see a new monthly saver.trickydicky14 said:

I have always just transferred the monthly amount at the start of each month from my current account. Will do the same on the this current save.0

Sorry did not make that clear, I can see the account but if I attempt to do a quick transfer of cash from my current account to the regular saver it is not listed in the drop-down box of accounts so that prevents me moving cash from one to the other. Hope that makes sense.wiseonesomeofthetime said:
