On a side note, the eBay transaction should update with delivered (if the tracking information was entered that is) too.....• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

However this week I have had a seller claim his item didn't arrive and when I checked the date, their order was placed on the 14th of JULY (90 days ago).
I politely responded twice stating that I cannot refund as the tracking does not even exist in the couriers system any more and that they need to make their claim within 30 days according to eBay rules, but it looks like they have opened an INR case anyway.
I really don't like being they bad guy, but I would have to refund the whole cost of this item out of my own pocket because the seller didn't follow the rules and my compensation claim window has long since expired because they didn't notice the item hadn't arrived for 3 months.
I may end up somehow getting a neg for this, but at the same time I am not a charity!
The annoying thing is his claim arrived just after I left him glowing buyer feedback as I didn't know anything was wrong, and that must have jogged his memory. Had I been a bad seller and not bothered leaving positive feedback it seems that he probably would never have realised!• The rich buy assets.

Hope the OP doesn't mind me jumping on this thread...it's the same subject.
I'm considering negative feedback for this situation.
I bid for an item and was the only bidder at 99p.
I paid within 3 minutes of the end of the auction (8:39pm 25/10).
This is something that would probably cost £100 new.
I got a message yesterday evening to say the seller had refunded me.
Apparently, the item was put in the wrong bag and taken to the charity shop 26/10 morning.
The seller contacted the charity shop at lunchtime 26/10 but they had already been sold.

ThanksThat's getting more and more common now since ebay removed any penalty for a seller cancelling a sale for certain reasons. The charity shop excuse is also getting common when an item goes too cheaply, it might be worth seeing if item gets re listed on that ID or any other (seller might have more than one account)I might be tempted by a neutral purely as a warning to future buyers that this seller doesn't honour sales, and perhaps a complaint to ebay, but if I saw it relisted at a higher price I might be persuaded into a negative, although I am always quite reluctant to leave a neg .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Too much of a coincidence, imho.
I'll probably do a neutral.
If it's listed again - by anyone - it will pop up in my saved searches.

would you describe the full circumstances in the feedback box?0 -

Feedback is meant to be a warning to future buyers so I would mention sale being cancelled after winning at a good price , perhaps not too much detail in case you inadvertently say anything that would allow the feedback to be removed.
