Hi all, first timer here, please be gentle with me for coming across as thick. My wife and I (both oap's)have opened an Esaver account on line with Santander. All went smooth, money we put in is showing in the account.
The question I have,is if we need to withdraw funds in an emergency for instance ,how do we go about it?Do we go to a branch and ask them to write a cheque out to whoever?
We do not have any other accounts with Santander,we have a current account with Barclay's.
Thanks in advance for all replies.

You can set up a new payee, or several, through the tools within online banking or the Santander mobile phone app. You’ll need the bank details (Sort code & Account Number) of the person or company you’re sending the funds to (usually included somewhere with a bill e.g. Utility bill). Create the payee and then using the “Pay” option, send them the money.Arch0

It's a good idea to do a test payment now, before you need it. Try sending £1 to your Barclays current account and you'll know it's set up properly for later use.0
