I used MS Money for over 20 years but decided to change. Bought JIOSoft and have found it excellent with great customer service. Have used if for about 4 months now and would recommend. You can upload MSMoney data which, once I worked out how to do it was straightforward.

Quicken 98 that I got free from a computer magazine cover about 1997, Quicken sent out a Y2K update to registered users, and have been using that since. It does seem to struggle with more recent versions of Windows and can crash when using reports. (Yes I run it in Compatibility Mode)

AceMoney looks to be similar so I may look at that if I need an update.

Does anyone have experience of switching over from Quicken to AceMoney?

I had Quicken for many years but it kept crashing on my newer PC so I had to switch to an alternative.  Tried various software until I found Acemoney and been using it ever since for about the last decade now.

I would recommend Acemoney.  You pay a relatively inexpensive one off fee and you get it for life with support if you ever need it and luckily, so far, I’ve not.

If it's just for keeping tabs on things then a spreadsheet does the job for me. Excel, Libre Office or Open Office all seem to work fine for the task.
For portfolios I used to use Morning Star x ray but since they "upgraded" the version on their website it's become unusable. I don't miss it anyway. Trustnet has their own version, which has some different tools, but I've found it's not all that accurate.
