I completely understand about not wanting to use your buffer pot despite a buffer pot being for use when needed 🤷‍♀️.  I struggle to use my savings pots for the intended purpose even though that's what they are there for.
I think that having been a spender not a saver I've now reversed and like saving and not spending.  I'm still surprised that has happened to me but grateful that it has and that the change has enabled me to take early retirement.

Oh no, sorry to hear you have the dreaded C! Hopefully lots of rest and painkillers and you'll be feeling better soon.

  • Thanks for all the kind comments. DH has it now as well. Both feeling like a double dose of flu, no energy, achey & cough & cold  People who say its just like a mild cold, must clearly be fitter than me.
At least we will start 2024 feeling 1 day better. Onwards & upwards from here.
Hope you all have a good celebration. We will be in bed by about 9 ..lol   Doubt there will be many fireworks in this awful weather
Happy New Year to you all   See you on the other side  x

Oh no what a pair you are 🙁 I think it affects everyone differently, most likely nothing to do with how fit you are. I won’t be seeing in the new year just because I get up so early and I’m not bothered to be honest. I hope you both feel better soon.

  • I'm just getting something very similar to you, but have tested negative a couple of times for 'c' but it's definitely similar.

I didn't test positive until day 3 of my symptoms. I'd test again if I was you
Since we've had it I've heard of several more people with it.
