So today has gone by in a flash. DH had to work this morning until 11am, so I deep cleaned the kitchen which hadn't had more than a "lick and a promise" as my granny would call it, all week. Feel much better now its all clean and tidy.
When DH got in from work, DGS's 1 & 2 came down to help him put up the last of the fence panels and new gate and then helped him take it all to the tip. They are over 6' now (almost 17 yrs old), and ideal for these sort of tasks. They tried to get a MCDs out of him, but he said no, but he did stop at the local Gr*gg*, so they could have a sausage roll. He paid them for helping out as well, as we don't really see the older ones as much now, so they dip out when the younger comes come round, and I think it teaches them that money has to be earned.
Just logged in to P/fc but the only study that is showing, keeps going round in circles, disappearing and then coming back up again…so no joy there. I do have nearly £10 to cash out in a bit though, so all is not lost.
So a NSD today, and tomorrow should be as well. All I need to do now is get on with some dinner and then I can sit down and watch some TV. Hoping to get in the garden for a few jobs tomorrow as well.

I wish my nephews lived nearer so I could pay them for weeding & pond cleaning.

It sounds like you have been really messed about with the hearing aids. NHS referral here was just an appt at the doctors to check for wax basically. That was alright so contact Specsavers appt in a convenient couple of days in a soundproof room. Chat with her as she looked in my ears & got the bad/good news. Bad news my ears are too damaged to have the very modern type due to the risk of infection. The good news I walked out with free ones. Less than 10 days from accepting the nagging & doing something about it.

Hope your hearing aids work well @badmemory . How long have you had them now?

Just over 2 years. I have learnt what they are good at & what they are not. In supermarkets near fridges, freezers & tills not so good. The thing to really watch with them though is cafes/restaurants. The first time I had them when I went out with my sister I didn't know all this stuff & we went to a small cafe. We'd been talking on the way in but once we got in it was actually worse than not having them. They are fantastic for watching TV. though. Better than the risk of a skin graft though which could destroy what hearing I have.

Thought it was time for an update. Looks like I started one a few days ago, and for some reason didn't post, and it was still sat there, so deleted it and will start again. That shows how busy I have been as I didn't even realise what is going on…..LOL
Had the appointment to get measured for the hearing aids and have the molds taken. I am still stressing about these because of the cost, but have managed a large deposit, which leaves me with £220 a month for 1 year, interest free and if I want to pay off in one go at anytime, I can. I have worked it all out and can afford it, will just mean a bit of twiddling things around a bit for a year. Anything I make from selling and studies will obviously help no end towards it. Also I get to trial them for 60 days and get money back in full if I don't get on with them. We'll see how it goes.
So P/fc ended well at end of April, just short of £200, so hoping May will be as good. Although I seem to be out in garden more now, so maybe won't have so much time.
Sold another item on V*nt*d, and still 2 more on there to sell. So fingers crossed for those.
New budget period started on Monday and is looking ok, as I didn't need to buy that much food, and shouldn't need much next week either. Bought a nice chicken from the butcher yesterday, which I will cook on Sunday and get many meals from it. Just need to sit down and actually do the meal plan.
Lots of orange stickered items in L*d! on Monday and also the free chocolate, which although I don't eat it, I will use it in baking. Also got several 15% off items. So all in all, a good week's shopping.
Today I have been out in the garden tidying up and clearing out a small old plastic storage shed/cupboard, that we no longer want as my proper shed has been delivered and will be getting that up tomorrow. This is for my gardening bits and hoping I will be able to use it for potting in as well. Even if it only protects me from the elements a bit. I have put the old plastic one on the Free FB page and also asked if anyone is gifting any garden pots. A lady local to me grows stuff in her massive yard and sells, and is currently selling all sorts at 75p each.. I was going down to get a few, but DH needed the car, so she is going to deliver to me, which is very nice of her.
Managed a whole bucket of water from shower….getting it to right temperature etc, so that has gone in the can outside the back door for the plants.
So not much more to say of interest, and I need to get tidied up anyway. Hopefully the next update will be more interesting.
Have a good evening all.

Almost £200 in surveys for one month is amazing. Well done you!

So just an update on the shed delivery. I asked the driver to put the parts in DH's large metal shed, as DH had instructed me….he never said I should inspect each part. So when DH came to put it up on Saturday…..they had sent 2 solid side panels instead of 1 with a window in. I rang customer services, but they were closed until this morning. Rang dead on the dot of 8.30 and all was resolved by 8.33! Chap said he could see straight away that I had ordered the one with windows, and he aplogised profusely and said they would get the correct part sent out to me in 5/7 working days, or sooner if they could. No mention of them taking back the wrong part, so DH says if they don't ask for it, he can utilise it in many ways….LOL So although I was upset at not being able to get things sorted in garden on Saturday, at least the customer service was excellent and we should have the correct part soon.
So yesterday we walked to the local C00p to drop of plastic recycling, and just timed it as the chap was doing the extra good Sunday reductions…..1 large seeded loaf, 1 tiger bloomer, large packet of crumpets and a 4 pack of bread rolls, for the total sum of £1.56! That was a bargain, and luckily we had room in the freezer. I had already got some reduced bread earlier in the week, so no need to buy bread for ages now. Then this morning I went for a wander round garden centre while DH was at work till lunch time, and they have a lovely bakery section there now, and I managed to get 3 reduced Genoa cakes for £1 each. So 2 in the freezer and we had a small slice of one after lunch and they are very nice. I told DH we could easily get 6/8 slices out of each one……he was all for just cutting it in half….LOL…..Mmmm, I think not.
Yesterday we had chicken for dinner and I managed to tear the meat off and put bones in SC to make some broth. I have put enough meat in the freezer to get at least 2 more meals and sandwiches, and there is enough in the fridge for 2 more dinners at least. I was moaning about how it was a bit more expensive than the ones we normally get, but it was certainly larger, so I don't mind.
Sold 3 more items on V*nt*d over the weekend, and managed to use stuff I already had to wrap them in, so no expense there in wrapping. Walked to the shop this morning and they are winging their way to their new owners.
Had a few little P/fc studies, but could have got a lot more except that they were the ones that require a particular resolution to do them ( The AI ones), and to do those I need to use DH's computer, but he has been using it for hours now. So hopefully there will be a few more of them in the week when he is at work.
So that's about it for today, off to list some more stuff on V*nt*d and get some dinner sorted. Have a good evening everybody

I would have been tempted to cut the cake in half give DH his half and explain it is up to him if he eats it in one sitting or spreads it over a few days but their will be now more cake etc until X day.
