There are a few audio books on the BBC Sounds ap. I listen to the odd audio book although they're included with my Spotify subscription. I think Foxgloves gets them free from her library app so might be worth looking into that. The ones I know about are Libby and Borrowbox.
Mr SA has a blood pressure monitor from A&D Medical. This is the same make/model of monitor the GP loaned him when he had to keep a check over a period of time so I'm assuming it must be pretty accurate.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
AAh, never thought about the library. Must look into that. I haven't used the library for a few months, and that is one of my intentions for this year. Ours is a bit rubbish, TBH, very small and only open part time hours now. There is one in the next town, think that might be a bit bigger. I have Spotify for podcasts, but only the free version.Making the debt go down and savings go up

I pay for aud ible via an annual subscription which is £108 for 24 credits. This is my treat to myself and I really enjoy the books. The narration is superb and is often done by acclaimed actors. The Cormorand Strike books are an example of the highest calibre narration. There are also a large number of books that are included "free" with membership and some of these are sleep related. I listen to the books when cooking, ironing etc.
You also mentioned doing power of attorneys this year. We did ours last year. The forms are very helpful and give easy to understand guidance. I worked through each systematically and because we have nominated different attorneys the differing timeframes for gathering of signatures meant that the cost got spread out over a couple of months. There are 2 PoA's each and they are about £80+ each. I am PoA for an elderly relative who has dementia. I am so thankful to them that they did their PoA's a few years ago as it makes supporting them so much smoother than it might otherwise be. I recommend printing off one of each type of PoA and reading through them and pencilling in your answers as it becomes much clearer than you might initially think.

Yes, we did my dad's about 6 years ago & it was simple. Wasn't done online then though. Its just a case of me actually getting round to it. I need time when I can concentrate.Blackcats said:I pay for aud ible via an annual subscription which is £108 for 24 credits. This is my treat to myself and I really enjoy the books. It never occured to me that audio books from library would be narrated by different people than the ones you pay for, that's interesting.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Pleased to report I purchased a BP monitor from Big River....don't like using them, but it was cheapest option. Apart from this, it was a NSD.
