So DH was at work this morning, and has to start early on a Saturday, so I got up early, stretches done and washing done on 30c and on the line.  Then nipped down to DD's to give some donuts & ginger bread man to the GKs.....we got a TGTG bag last night and it had too many sweet treats for us.  We did however manage to freeze 2 savoury slices of some description and 2 sausage rolls. I had another sausage roll for today's lunch and DH had a lovely big chicken mayo baguette. So it was worth the £2.95 we paid for it.

After work DH went to a local music shop to try and sell an old keyboard that had been collecting dust for ages and came home delighted that they had given him £50. He then said he was off in the attic, and has since managed to declutter 54 items!!! Can't believe some of the rubbish he had been hoarding.    Some for charity shop, some in recycling bin and a couple of bits have had to go to landfill.  He has an old scalectrix that he thinks might be worth a few ££, so is trying to sell that. With a promise that any money he makes will go to the holiday pot.

So not a bad day really. I was in the middle of trying to sort out some financial stuff, but had to go up for him to pass down the stuff from the attic, and then help him sort out and hoover up the mess.  Funny how men can only do half a job!  So my online jobs will have to wait until tomorrow now.

Was a NSD today and I had £1.10 worth of P/fc studies. So at least more is coming in than going out.

Off to get the washing in now, then a quick shower and get tea. Tonight is salmon stir fry.

    Have a good evening all.

Yes, that's how I feel I think.  You wouldn't believe the stuff he had up there that I didn't know was there.....I never go up there.  Old calendars....just because of the pictures, old books from when he was a kid, old VHS tapes, really old board games from when he was a kid in battered boxes, an old laptop bag, even a couple of old soft toys which must be at least 50 years old...LOL  The scalectrix was the only thing that might be worth anything,

I wish mine would. He is clearing one end of the garage at the moment but only because we are having a new door fitted on Tuesday. His hobby room is an absolute tip and I am dreading it when we have new windows fitted because at the moment you can barely get through the door let alone reach the window.

Good luck with getting him to clear it

Good Morning....well I am getting far to regular at posting now...lol.  Been up since 6.20 & done a 15min stretch/mobility routine & had breakfast.
Yesterday I posted a "freebie" on the local FB page, an air bed that DH cleared from the attic & we no longer needed. A lady wanted to collect today, but said she could only come at 7am!  So that's got rid of that.

DH is having a lie in, but I think its late enough now.....time to give him a shout. He has promised to dig me a hole to move the rhubarb plant I got the other week. I read that they do well under apple trees, and think it would have more room there, as well. So need to get that done today. Also think we need to get the algae from the pond. I swear a magic algae fairy comes round at night & sprinkles it everywhere.
Then a walk, via DD's, to drop off a book on the Falklands War, that DH found in attic yesterday. DGS1 loves history, so said he would like it. I do love being able to reuse stuff.

Need to get the SC on to cook chicken as well. Also, hoover & steam kitchen, downstairs loo & bathroom floors.

Then hoping to get some time on laptop, sorting finance, doing surveys etc.
    Have a good day everyone

Mr F has been making encouraging noises about clearing a load of old tech out of our loft, so it must be something in the water! I'm going to tell him about your old keyboard fetching £50 as I think this could be extra incentive!

Not much to report today. Tired all day, due to being awake a lot last night with bad reflux.
Washing dried outside & then cleaned the drawer & gave the machine a long overdue cleaning cycle.
    Cleaned V*x filter after hoovering

Nipped to  BnM & found some good reduced bread rolls & waffles. Waffles will do for weekend when DGS 3&4 are coming for the night.
Popped in Mr T next to it,  and had a £3 voucher, so only spent £1.75

Dinner was chicken stirfry from yesterday's leftover chicken & I got a yellow stickered bag of stirfry veg from MrT.  Making chicken soup for tomorrow. Have already made stock from the bones

No surveys/ studies around when I logged in. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Got a big To Do list tomorrow

Just a quick moan....sorry....can see how water companies are wasting so much money. After finally fitting our meter 2 weeks ago, they turned up again this morning to fit another one! They had apparently put the wrong one in & we now have a smart meter, so we will supposedly be able to check our useage online. I'll believe that when I see it. They also had to redo another one up the road.

Hi, I can highly recommend the John Lewis basic straighteners at £35.00. Variable heat settings which is good. I think they are better than my GHDs! V x
