You were asking about Courgette leaves - we did end up removing a few last year as the reduced airflow was making them go mildewy - removing a few affected ones let the light and air to the rest and the plants seemed happier for it.

Aah, that makes sense. A couple of mine have gone yellow on the ends before growing much, and none of them are growing very well yet either. There does appear to be an excess of leaves, maybe I'll go and cut some off.  thanks

Thanks @Sun_Addict. Debts are going down slightly slower than I had anticipated, but I have a better plan now, so hoping for quicker progress. Its that thing about trying to get some savings going as well, and DH insisting that we need to be saving for a replacement 2nd hand car, as well. ...it will all sort out in the end, I am determined.

Yes, I love a new notebook but try not to buy them. But my new planner is lovely. Has a soft feel to it, lovely bright turquoise colour & I have already started to fill it with budget planning, debt tracking, step & exercise tracking, plans for the future & costs involved. I will also be able to fit in meal plans, to do lists and lots more.

Your "waiting for God" comment about your in-laws made me smile.  It's a bit like that sometimes when I visit my dad especially if he hasn't been to the loo that day and spends the afternoon catastrophising 🥴

I love a new notebook too & started a nice one recently which I received for my birthday. I always have one on the go for absolutely anything I want to write down. It keeps it all together.

Well I started a post yesterday and then suddenly it asked me to confirm I wasn't a robot and post vanished!  How annoying!

What I had started to say was that I hadn't been on for a few days, as had a worrying few days.  First my 92 year old dad fell twice within 48hours, the first fall resulting in a trip to the hospital. All ok though apart from a bad lump on his head, and grazed and sore down one side from the 2nd fall.  Both were caused by him trying to do things that he wasn't capable of and not using his walker, neither of which were important and could easily have waited till my sister went round, or the cleaner or home help turned up in the week.  He just doesn't get it, that if he falls and breaks a hip, that will be game over for staying in his house alone. Also if he hits his head again it could be really bad. His own brother passed earlier this year, age 94, from falling, hitting his head and getting a brain bleed.  But dad thinks it won't happen to him!!!

Also on Friday morning I woke up with a bit of a medical emergency myself and had to get an emergency Dr appointment.  Now got a course of tablets, which I really hate as I know for a fact that these tablets have nasty side effects if taken for long time. So hoping this 28 day course will help and all will be well.  Got to go back to GP in a month, with instructions to go straight to urgent care if I get any sort of flare up of it and Drs is closed.

So I was feeling a bit sorry for myself and not posting. Although I was reading a few other diaries and still keeping the MSE faith.  Feeling  better in myself now and told myself to stop worrying and get back to normal.....after all we have a few days away in 3 weeks, so something to look forward to.

So yesterday was the first day of the 4 week budget period.  Mrs S delivery came on a saver slot for £1 this morning, as I just can't be bothered with a big shop in person this time, and some of the things I want, can't be got in L*d! anyway. I will still nip to L*d! on Thursday when I go line dancing, for a few bits.  All transfers have been sent to the appropriate pots. So looking forward to a good 4 weeks.

Studies on P/fc looking good this month, not so much on the other sites though, but will try and get on them a bit more. Just never seem to have much spare time lately.

Yesterday I nipped out in the garden and potted on a couple of indoor plants that needed bigger pots and also some peppers that I had grown from seeds taken from supermarket peppers....so free seeds.  Never tried this before, so put a few in a big pot, and now they are looking reasonable, I have put a few in individual pots. Didn't want to start them off like that, as I wasn't sure if would work and didn't want to waste the compost. No idea if they will grow, but hey ho....its a learning curve and it cheers me up to do it.

Just sold a top on V*nt*d that I'd bought in CS and it didn't fit, so managed to sell it for more than I paid for it.....result!!

Meal plan is done for the week, and can be tweaked or swapped around a bit if needed. Glad I have got back to doing them properly again, I seemed to have slipped a bit with them lately.

Looks like we may get a bit of rain, by the look of the clouds. The garden could certainly do with it.

Not much more to report, will see how the day progresses.  Off to the village to drop off the V*nt*d parcel now and get some steps in.

Just a quick update today, before I have to start the dinner.
Today was line dancing and still got 3 classes left on my already paid for "save money" pass. Was very hot, and I only stayed the first hour.
Nipped to L*d! as I had a couple of vouchers to use, 15% of the loaf we like & 15% of baby potatoes, which I needed anyway.  Also needed Almond milk , as Mr S didn't have the one I wanted on the delivery. Have now qualified for the free fruit item, which I will pick up next time I am in there next week.

Sold another top on V*nt*d, so that was duly despatched and awaiting the money. Its not much, but every little helps, and the 2 tops I have sold recently have paid for the skirt I liked, so free clothes really.

Had a couple of good studies on P/fc today, and got some to cash out in a bit. Having a really good month so far.

Garden is coming on a lot better now. Quite a few tomatoes finally starting to grow. , just waiting for them to go red....you can guarantee that will be when we are away in 3 weeks.  Been picking a few strawberries most days now, not a lot, but just better that than having too many and they don't get eaten quick enough.  Also managed a much better looking courgette yesterday.  DD has been saving squash bottles for me to try for watering while we are away. Got a couple in at the moment, to see how it goes.  Not to sure at the moment. Think I need some extra holes.

Well, a really boring update today. Hopefully I can come up with something better tomorrow.   I need to do a bit of money shuffling tomorrow.
Off to get the dinner on now. Its jacket spud with left over bolognese, then out to water the garden. Surprisingly the water butts are still going, even though we haven't had much rain.   I've also moved the watering cans outside the back door, so its easier to just tip any water I've managed to collect in the bowl in the sink.

Sorry to hear about your dad’s falls but glad he’s ok. It must be a worry when they get to that age and think they’re invincible.

I’ve hardly had any decent PA surveys for some time. I’m quite discerning which ones I take though.

The garden produce sounds like it’s coming on well.
