Maternity & rising mortgage

Hi I am currently on mat leave and our mortgage is increasing by over £300 a month. I will soon be on stat maternity pay which means I will soon only be receiving £600 a month.
Is there any help we can get with this? We are not entitled to any support that we are aware of as mine and my husbands usual combined salaries are above the threshold.
Any advice will be very much appreciated 😊

You say you don't qualify for any support as your combined income is above the threshold however your circumstances have changed, you now have a child and you're not currently in receipt of your usual salary.
Put you're details into a benefits calculator and see what happens, the worst that can happen is you're still don't qualify but if you don't try you'll never know.
If it's a no and things really are that tight could your OH can take on more hours? Failing that, and I'm assuming this is not what you want to hear, you could go back to work earlier than planned.0 -
Thank you for your response and suggestions 😊 this is our second child, so we also have fees for her too. We did look into any support but we are not eligible. My husband doesn’t get paid for overtime in his line of work and already does long days. When I return to work full time, things are still going to be tight as we will have £1000 of nursery fees to add on to this. There just seems to be no support for middle earners - with the way the rising living costs are going, they need to be stretching help. we Worrying times ey?!0
