British Airways Flight Refund

My flight was cancelled by British Airways in July which led to the cancellation of my holiday. TUI refunded our package holiday costs but British Airways are just ignoring any contacts I have made with them stating large backlogs. I have finally received a response stating that I am out of date now for a refund!

My complaint goes back to 2020 with BA. We all know what happened in that year. So BA said we can have vouchers to use on later flights. £159. Three years later we could never find flights with BA we could use. Now they cannot even find our reference number. We use Travel Republic for this, they said BA DO NOT give cash refunds and that is it. We contacted the CAA they said they cannot help in this dispute. So we have lost our £159.0

much will depend on whether the airline cancelled the flight or if the flight operated but you did not/could not travel
If the airline cancelled the flight and it did not operate you should/could have received a refund rather than a voucher
If the flight operated then there was a waiver in place to allow vouchers on non-refundable tickets but not refunda0
