Sky Express based in Athens - any advice?

Hi all, I am trying to make a claim against Sky Express for compensation. I originally reached out to their email address because resolver did not have them on the list of companies. Resolver updated about 8 weeks ago to add Sky Express so I decided to start a file with resolver then too. So far, not a single word from Sky Express. So it is now time to escalate. This airline is based out of Athens International. I can't seem to locate any UK address for them.

Has any one had any success reaching Sky Express? Did you use an adjudicator? If so, which one? It's a large claim so I must pursue this until it's paid. I don't mind going to smalls claims but I think they must have a UK postal address - if I am not mistaken. Any advice or words of wisdom welcomed. Thank you!

  • Just to update and hope to get any advice...I escalated my claim against Sky Express airlines to CAA. It's been over a year. CAA tells me that based on the information provided, CAA would provide a favourable opinion to my claim. This is wonderful news, except that Sky Express refused to communicate any further with CAA.

My only recourse is to make a court claim which I am happy to do but I can only find an address in Greece. Do any of you know if Sky Express can accept post in the UK? They have daily flights out of Heathrow, so I thought maybe I could use that address?

If not, I am not sure how I can escalate a claim through the money claims service without a UK address. If anyone has done this before, I would love to hear from you and how you were able to proceed. It's a fairly large chunk of money so I can't really let this slide. Thank you!

They fly to Gatwick, not Heathrow, but a generic airport address won't be a viable way of contacting an airline to serve court papers.

Looks like you're going to need to raise court action in Greece....

Having some experience of the Greek love of bureaucracy, I would gird my loins for that course of action...

Exactly this.  A battle perhaps to concede.
