British Gas not processing £66 refund

I paid my DD on 1st Oct, waited a few days then chased my refund. I was told to wait 3 working days and it would be in my bank. It wasn’t. I messaged and was told the same thing again. Still nothing. Chased today and now been told to wait 10 days. I have repeatedly asked for somebody to call me but no joy. Am I the only one? What can I do?

From what I ve read about the £66/67 monthly amount , the suppliers would not be sending it into anyones bank accounts where it can be spent on other things .
Its for the energy account only .
Octopus have just taken off £67 off my £100 a month direct debit and then advised that I should raise it myself to £140 .
They probably are correct as once the gas central heating gets switched on my gas usage will be very high for 5 months but I m directing my OAP extra energy grant of £300 into my gas account to balance it out0 -
Mine only arrive on Friday 14th after DD going out on the 1st (3rd was the Monday). They don't have a clue what they're doing. Not really sure what you can do but I'd suspect it will get to you, just not putting any bets on whensarahmichael0812 said:I paid my DD on 1st Oct, waited a few days then chased my refund. No idea where you have read that - in almost every case of DD accounts, the money will end up in your bank account whether by DD change or by refund.SAC2334 said:From what I ve read about the £66/67 monthly amount , the suppliers would not be sending it into anyones bank accounts where it can be spent on other things .

Below quote is from BG website:
"My Direct Debit has gone out - why haven’t I received my £66 yet?
Don’t worry, it’s on its way. It can take up to 10 working days to reach your bank account. If you don’t pay by Direct Debit and are still waiting"

You're not the only one.My DD was taken on the 3rd and there is absolutely no sign of my rebate, either on my energy account (apparently it shows here first) or in my bank account.I have contact BG twice now only to be given the standard, scripted, answer of, "it will be there in 3 days". I'm unconvinced...0

Same here. Direct Debit taken out on the 1st of the month and no sign of the refund. Perhaps BG are accumulating interest on these payments?1
