any update on this. i am in a similiar situation. self employed. minimum income floor applied in January. not sure when. But also after an op became ill in January and have been signed off currently til april. im able/ try to do some work. But as its a physical job it is difficult.
Obviously im now in debt and behind on rent and bills and ive now spoken to debt adviser who think DWP should have done a gainful employment test but 3 seperate interactions with them have not offered or advised me this could be done. ive now asked this on my journal. Not sure what to expect and i dont think they will backdate it. so stressful when you work all your life and the one time you need some help its not there.2 -

Report change under work and earnings to say self employed. This will trigger a verify action on your claim on the Job Centres side. Send journal message asking for Gateway appointment to review claim. And when you attend appointment take with you all information you want to be considered.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
