I checked my score on Credit Club before applying and was told I was 100% guaranteed for a 22 month 0% balance transfer offer. I applied but the application process froze midway. Waited for several minutes. Moved closer to the router, tried again and was only offered 14 months and a 1% balance transfer fee, an offer which I declined... Is there anything I can do? I worry this whole debacle has just negatively impacted my credit score for no reason. 😔
They did something similar to me years ago, I can't remember if I cleared cookies etc but I refused to go for a worse offer and within a time (might have been next day) then the original offer came back.

This is from the email I received so the precise offer (22 months, no transfer fee) couldn't be clearer. I've followed the suggestions to email the Credit Club. Will keep people posted!

That won't achieve anything. I think the people suggesting you do that were being flippant!

Seems maybe what's happened here is that you actually applied twice because of your internet issues.

After the first application, it's hard credit search means you weren't eligible for the offer anymore. That's normal and pretty much expected.

You should have called Sainsbury's rather than applying again to figure out the status of the first application.

Have you checked your credit report to see how many hard searches are there now?

I got hit by this a few years ago and after giving it a day or so then I got the original offer again.

That's very possible - it happened to me once with a Virgin application - ended up with 3 searches for 1 account.

Now that I've seen the OP's actual email - the above explanation appears more likely.
