Can anyone please tell me which companies currently offer Time of Use tariffs as I want to install batteries to charge up overnight and use during the day which I will supplement with my solar panels. Also, if you know of the current rates it would also help enormously
I was considering the Tesla Octopus tariff. However, I have had a Tesla battery on order since April but they have just announced they are cancelling all orders and also announced about a 25% price increase when/if you re-order - interesting business practice!!! Hence I may have to consider alternatives
Thanks

Hi - a number of suppliers still offer Economy 7 and other so-called legacy time of use tariffs, but I'm not sure whether they offer them to new customers and what their criteria for accepting new customers are. I'm with EDF and pay 6.90p/kWh overnight and have a battery system big enough to cover most of my usage so it works out well for me, even though the day rate is 47.31p/kWh.

Economy 7 is (or should be) available to every customer from every supplier.E7 tariffs vary in their relative day/night prices; EDF have some of the lowest off-peak prices but their peak prices are commensurately higher.Until recently there were a few other options (Green Energy UK had an interesting four-rate tariff called "Tide", for example) but the EPG has resulted iin most of these being withdrawn from the market.
