are we sure that they do not have access to the DVLA database?
If Wing are not members of an ATA (BPA or IPC) they cannot access the DVLA database - of that we are sure!  Whether by some convoluted request on behalf of a traffic authority (Haringey Council), well, give it a couple of weeks and you'll be able to tell us!

If you don't contact Wing and offer your head address on a silver platter, I suspect you'll hear no more.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

If they used Haringey's free link to get DVLA data we'd help you get the DVLA and ICO to go after both Wing and Haringey for a clear data breach.

Believe us, Haringey won't be that stupid.

  • Many years ago I removed a Wing clamp with a bolt croppers. They did find the registered address of the car although I don't know exactly how they obtained it. It is possible it was through word of mouth, but they could have access to some database.

For the OP I would not trust that a disabled badge gives you the right to park in a disabled bay if it is a private / residential car park of some sort.

Sorry your wrong on both counts
they are not members of the BPA/IPC and so no right to date
And no a disabled badge on private land doesn't give such rights

Just to clarify, as I said in my earlier reply Wing used to be in the BPA until 2 years ago, so they would have had access to the DVLA database then (and over ten years ago when clamping was a thing).

But re this OP's case, no they don't.  IGNORE.

Parked in a marked disabled bay with badge and ticketed?
    Yep - I'd say that's unfair.
If they are contracted by Haringey Council, then there's presumably a complaints route to follow; if they aren't then there's a bit of misrepresentation going on...

Yes but this OP shouldn't be contacting anyone. A complaint to Haringey could be shown to Wing.

    IGNORE THIS DAFT PCN COMPLETELY.

Why? If it's a residents parking area with disabled spaces that doesn't mean anyone with a disabled badge can enter the parking area without a residents permit.

It very likely does because it will be for disabled visitors too (unlikely to be for one named tenant). But this is Wing so you could park sideways across a fire escape and there's nothing Wing can do.

Wonder if Islington and Haringey are aware they are offering 'free for all' parking by having Wing still contracted?

Wonder if the residents know they can have a party, invite all their friends and they could all park anywhere they want?
