Parking ticket received unfairly?

Hello,
I parked in an estate with a disabled bay and used my disabled badge. I parked at 10:00 am and set the clock but still got a ticket at 11:15 am.
Reason for the ticket: Parking in a non-designated bay.
The disabled bay is faded slightly but the sign is still visible and there’s no indication to state that the bay is no longer in use.
I’ll attach a picture and you can judge for yourselves.
This is wing security in Seven Sisters London.
I haven’t started the first process of the appeal yet, what would be my argument to them first as I believe this is a mistake and just a parking inspector being trigger-happy?
Thank you.

Hello @Soxy94 and welcome.
I would normally say you would be wise to get this thread moved to the Parking sub-board, but as the MSEforumteam don't work at weekends perhaps it's best if you start a new thread there.3 -

Thanks everyone, I've just wrote a new thread on the correct sub-section.1

I agree with you, just looks like it hasn't been painted for a while, I would have parked there.
One thing I would say is would the parking inspector know that part of the sign was still there?

Please confirm the full name of the parking company. I can't find one called wing security in the two accredited trade association member lists.
Wing Security is also known as Wing Parking Ltd, and often act for Islington Council.
Plan A is always a complaint from the keeper to the landowner and their MP. Do not reveal the driver's identity in your complaints.

Stop! No responding to that windscreen PCN.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DATA.
WING are not in any AOS and you must completely ignore them. They left the BPA AOS back in October 2020 or thereabouts.
They can't get DVLA data. The windscreen PCN from Wing has as much clout as an unsolicited Burger King flyer.
Ignore. End of story.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the replies everyone. I can confirm that it is actually ‘wing parking’ which they claim they are working for the borough of Haringey. They’ve got wing security written on their signs on the estate which was why I got it confused.Going on with what Coupon has mentioned, are we sure that they do not have access to the DVLA database? They took a picture of some business stickers I had on my dashboard that I use for a small business I run. Obviously it has my name and address if they decide to look it up on companies house but I’m guessing they wouldn’t be able to connect the dots to prove that it is my vehicle? Is there a time period where if they can’t locate the driver they would have no choice but to stop chasing it?Thanks again!0

Unless they've reappeared, Wing are not listed on either AOS list (BPA or IPC). Check for yourself.
Given this - and to make the message "IGNORE PCNs FROM WING PARKING" crystal clear - anyone who responds to Wing Parking, knowing they are not in an AOS and can't get DVLA data, would be doing the same as a victim replying to a scam text message/email, in order to tell the chancer of a sender to 'go away' yet putting in all your data...
