I *think* the gas reading of 3724 has just come from the meter.  To convert to Kwh is 3274 X 11.2 = 41,708kwh

Which, is indeed, a shedload of gas for a 3 bed semi !

3724 m3 would be over 40000kWh - massive, but possible.
    7000 kWh/yr of electricity plus 40000 kWh/yr of gas would be roughly £6800/yr, £570/month.
The OP's new DD of £850/month suggests they are already in arrears and/or EDF are expecting them to be at or near zero balance when their next review comes around in 6 months.

3724 kWh is possible but wouldn’t seem to match the prices being talked about.

You seem like a huge consumer of energy!
could be worse. could be ft.

once you work out your actual usage then the clever people on here will have some suggestions for tracking down where it's going (testing for leaks and faulty meters and gas guzzlers. that kind of thing).

Are you joking mate? £850 is my entire rent! (3 bed semi).
My energy bills are only just over £100 a month (used, not DD). Octopus SVT. Then again I only use 10 units of gas a month, and some people have their heating on full blast all day, every day. (I switch mine on / off manually. Try that rather than a timer. Also no need to tumble dry every load of washing. I only use mine 1.5h for towels once a week).

I'm a family of two though, but still adding 2 more shouldn't increase my usage by over 8x..

If the OP is in arrears with their use (as many people do get by not paying enough to begin with and having to catch up) and the heating is up high then they could easily be at that figure.

    hence, not ludicrus.

We know the real meter readings indicate the electric use is 20kWh per day.  That is 2-3 times the normal for someone with non-electric heating but electric cooker.   And about 3-4 times the level if the cooker is gas as well.

Your level of use may not be typical.  Their level of use may not be typical.  The electricity use certainly suggests it not that efficient.

They don’t look ludicrous as in “they are possible”

As you say, you don’t use a lot, but that doesn’t mean there might not be people who use a lot more.
