  • Another satisfied EDF customer here. I was switched to them after the demise of ZOG and haven't had any problems thus far.

The only time I have had to contact them was to request a switch from Budget to Whole Amount Monthly direct debit. They responded on their chat service quickly and carried out the request immediately.

It just goes to show that we all have different experiences.

The only real problem I have with them is the main CS which is based in the Philipines or some other far flung place, where English isn't their standard language.
I have made contact with a CS in South Africa, and that, although far flung, communication wasn't a problem.

That’s taking anything up to a week for a reply at the moment.

I took against EDF when I was SoLRd to them and they charged me the higher cash rate, which of itself is fine, but they wouldn't let me set up a DD. I felt that was unfair so left as soon as I could.
  • The matter is complicated by the fact that for some reason, EDF has set me up with different accounts for electicity and gas, even although I took them out at the same time!  And they have separate 'windows'.

But sorted now, electric is up by £20pm from December, now have to wait for a month to see about the gas.
