Postman knocked on my door with an obviously Spectos parcel in his hand. “ These ones are okay to leave in the porch, aren’t they? I know there’s a note at the sorting office to say not to but just these ones are okay” Said with a sort of knowing smirk.

I’ve clearly been outed, just wondering if they’re going to do anything about it.

I often think Spectos make it too easy for panellists to be identified. The address format is always the same. The returns address is a giveaway too. I often get a delivery of 2 or 3 letters that are identical. The postal bag manifest even has Spectos on it now.

I doubt they will do anything. If anything it gives them an advantage as they can improve their statistics by ensuring they deal promptly with your Mail.

    Agree with this.
Sosetimes think it's the same shaped parcels that arrive so often must be a bit of a giveaway.

If you take your concerns to Spectos they would drop you from taking part in all surveys.  However I’m sure you are aware of that!

I have no intention of taking my concerns to Spectos - just pondering RM response. And whether I need to stop complaining to RM about my posties for a  bit.

  • Anyone having problems with this new  'Mobile Verified' rule. I refuse to stand by the postbox with my phone out for safety reasons, especially in the rain or dark, and have always posted then returned home to confirm delivery (0.1 miles away). This now is apparently not good enough. Have they not heard of people snatching phones etc?

It takes about 10 seconds - generally speaking not that much of a risk.

  • And at 4.30am too dark to see what your doing and in the pouring rain with the sodden paper. Think I'll stick to going home to do the report and forget about the prize draw.
