Does the post office put one on when they have received the manifest , the postal sack I mean
The sack contains one or more parcels which have addresses on them. It's opened at the Sorting Office and the parcels are then sent on their way. The sacks are typically used for business accounts who send lots of stuff out each day so most people have never seen one before.

I am going to be stood at the counter looking a bit vacant 😕
Can't find any real instructions about this on the app.
Just don't want to come over at the post office as looking a bit thick 🙄0 -

The first couple of times I took the sack to the local sub post office the staff had no clue what to do so asked me to come back another time when the boss was there. In those circumstances, my standard response is "I'm just dropping it off for someone so I have no idea what you are meant to be doing either - does it not say on the form?." Bigger post offices are better if you think that could be an issue.LADY_A said:So I presume they put the postage label on the tag ????

To be fair, it was the same with my newspaper subscription card so they are used to me going in with new systems that neither of us have a clue about.

Unless I am missing something 🤔0 -
The post office should scan something off the manifest, then tell you where to leave it with the manifest squeezed through the cable tie.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That was the problem initially – post office staff didn’t know what buttons to press when they were scanning the manifest. You’d hope by now it’s a more familiar system to post office workers.silvercar said:The post office should scan something off the manifest, then tell you where to leave it with the manifest squeezed through the cable tie.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
