In the newsletter it says:
” Please remember to use the correct option in the Mailagents app when recording all survey tasks, otherwise, the system will not recognise the entry. To record that you have received the posting pack please choose ‘Posting Pack Repeipt’, to enter that you have posted a bundle please select ‘Bundle Posting’ and to record the receipt of the individual items from other panellists please choose ‘Item Receipt’.”
Presume that means click the + button and then select one of those 3 options.
If so, then what is the red circle QR scan button for? May be I’m being dim … but who is using it and for what? 🤷🏼♀️0 -
I use the red circle QR reader all the time. For scanning the QR code on the letter you receive with test items, instead of typing in the code. It takes you straight to the questions about the post you’ve received.fluffig said:In the newsletter it says:

I think they must have people complaining that the code isn't recognised because they have picked the wrong option for the code.
If you use the red scan button (I usually do) the app knows which option to send the scan to because the codes are different lengths/formats.I need to think of something new here...0 -
I think Saetana is right and the newsletter is now clarifying what we should do and thus overriding the previous advice you had (which may have been right at the time or just the best guess at the time). Even if you can physically get a pre-paid parcel in the standard postbox; it may be collected and processed differently from ones that went into a parcel postbox thus the timings are going to be affected.Money_Grabber13579 said:A post box is not either of those things and is much more akin to a parcel post box, so when Spectos refer to parcel post boxes, that will include regular post boxes (if the item fits).
This is what Spectos said to me:Regarding the parcels, you can post them in the regular postbox if they are small enough to go through the letter slot.Given that they definitely won’t fit in a regular post box if they are left in the bag, the clear inference is that they are to be taken out of the bag if they are to be posted in a parcel box or regular post box but not if they are to be posted in a post office or delivery office.

Thanks both, yes I always use the red QR scan button too.I am a bit bemused that Spectos have highlighted use the longer, more clicks route that seemingly they’ve had problems with🤷🏼♀️0 -
Unless I’m missing something, I can’t see any reference in that email to not posting parcels in regular post boxes and that is no different to what they have ever said at any time in the past i.e. they have never referenced post boxes (which was why I asked the question in the first place). So as far as I can see, nothing has changed?NBLondon said:

But that only says you must keep them in the bag if your are taking to the post office or delivery office. A post box is not either of those things and is much more akin to a parcel post box, so when Spectos refer to parcel post boxes, that will include regular post boxes (if the item fits).Saetana said:Just received the monthly newsletter from Spectos - we all need to take note of this bit:"Mailbag parcels
When you receive mailbag parcels, please take them to a Post Office or Delivery Office with the Sales Order Summary, keeping them in the bag at all times. Please note you will only be able to post these items if you leave them in the bag they were sent with and post them in a Post Office or Delivery Office otherwise they may be refused.
If you have a Parcel Postbox nearby, please feel free to use it. To do so please remove the items from the mailbag. You will then need to dispose of the Sales Order Summary confidentially. You can either dispose of the mailbag or take them to a delivery office for reuse."So basically it sounds like we cannot take the items out and post them in a normal postbox, only a parcel postbox - I believe someone asked Spectos about this and was told differently.
I am not 100% convinced of this - not that I think you are lying - but surely they would have mentioned this in the email if it was an acceptable method of posting parcels, given they appear to be clarifying a few things? Think I might fire off an email and see if we get the same answer xEDIT: Okay, email query sent, will update once I get a reply.2020 Wins:
