Transition disability benefits on getting state registered pension

I am trying to work out what I need to do to transition my disability benefits when I get my state pension in December.

I have enhanced PIP mobility and care. I live alone with no carer and will get full state pension. I have no other income and savings of less than £6000. I don’t claim housing benefit for my mortgage.

I get newstyle contribution-based ESA (£77), ESA support group (£49.60), Severe Disability Allowance (£69.40) and Disability Income Guarantee (£17.75).

I am confused about what I should claim for. I believe Attendance Allowance is for disabled people who do not have PIP, so it is not for me.

I think I have to apply for pension credit, but I am not sure what I am entitled to. Can they assess my entitlement from my current ESA? Or do I have to work it out and make the correct claims?

Getting the ESA and PIP claims sorted out was traumatising. I fear this transition and hope it is not as terrifying a process. Many thanks in anticipation.

I think this is more about benefits than pensions, so a specialist website such as https://www.turn2us.org.uk might be your best option for help and guidance.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

you may also get more knowledgeable responses on the benefits board. I will ask for this to be moved there.

You will get just over £250 weekly from Pension Credit LESS your Old age pension, claim as soon as possible as big delays.

Council Tax help if not already claimed.

Your PIP will remain unchanged at 66 year old.

Your PIP will continue for as long as you remain entitled to it. You will need to make sure you claim your state pension before you reach that age, if you haven't already. Pension credit can be claimed for the SDP, which will increase your maximum weekly income to around £252/week.

For the avoidance of doubt your ESA will not be New style ESA because this is a contributions based only benefit and can't include any disability premiums. Your ESA will be Income Related because you're claiming the disability premiums. At least part of it maybe the old contributions based.

You need to claim your State Pension now:
    https://www.gov.uk/get-state-pension

SP is not automatically paid, but your ESA will be stopped when you reach SPA.

You also need to claim Pension Credit now:

Your PIP will continue, you don't need to do anything about this.

I'm interested in how the OP could be getting both SDA and ESA.

My relative, in receipt of SDA was given no choice about the ending of the benefit in 2014 and had to apply for and pass the barriers to get contributory ESA (Support Group).   I still remember filling that damn form in - took me a week in chunks!   When her ESA payments started, the SDA payments stopped.

Must be a very particular set of circumstances for the OP?
    stinker...

Looking at the amount I think they mean Severe Disability Premium.
