I'm not sure if this model is actually networkable  in the standard ethernet way, at least. It only has USB 2.0 and a parrellel port as connection methods. The 2550N is networkable. All according to this PC World review:
    http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,119293,00.asp

There are some other user reviews here on Amazon:

NO, it isn't. We have it hooked up to a dedicated workstation, which is also accessible to the network, so no its not networkable in the traditional sense, but can be if really needed.

Useful thing about having a workstation is that person's screen flags up a warning when the paper runs out / ink gets low / it jams up. Not so cool for him I guess though, although its a rare occurrence it jams.
    Money saving:
Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

    Dear Folks

Thank you once again. Tonight I printed off the Misco page and went to my local PC World for a price-match and walked away with a 2550L for £198 with five years guarantee, which I can cancel within 14 days and get £69.00. I think on balance I'll keep the guarantee.

    ThanksX

Hooked mine up lastnight, and very impressed with it. It seems to have a mind of it's own at times, but I presume it's doing something useful.

Now on the hunt for the matching 250 sheet paper tray! :)

Thats great! How did you get your 5 year guarantee in with the price though?

Thats what I was wondering! Must have haggled for it?

The Manager (Gary) could not drop the price to the Misco value BUT could discount if it had the extra guarantee.

BTW, I did not haggle (well not too much). I just was polite and went to the business section and explained that I could get this at Misco's price and could they help.

FYI, I did phone the central enquiry number before hand and spoke to Raj whom advised they won't match Misco - BUT knowing they had two in stock, I thought it was worth driving to PC World just before they closed on a Friday evening!

I also mentioned that these units will soon be discontinued - I don't know if that helped, but I was happy.

    Regards

It's worth giving Express Terminals a call re the paper tray as they are normally very good on pricing as we use them at work for various HP spares etc... :)

    Good luck

Just emailed them, thanks for the link.

Cheapest I've found so far is DABS at £101.
